This International Women's Day, I reflect on the journey that led me to create QUABOXES, a curated gift box company that’s blossomed from humble beginnings into a full-time venture. The story behind QUABOXES is one of perseverance, passion, and the drive to make gifting more meaningful, and it’s a story I’m proud to share.
The Beginning: A Vision Born in My Garage
In 2020, as a mom and wife, I began my entrepreneurial journey with a dream to make gifting more personal and thoughtful. I started QUABOXES in my garage, handcrafting baby items and selling them on Etsy. It was a leap of faith, combining my desire to offer quality gifts with my passion for creating something unique.
Like any new venture, the journey wasn’t without its challenges. Balancing family life, the demands of starting a business, and learning as I went was overwhelming at times. But through it all, I kept my eyes on the goal: to bring joy and meaning to every gift I created.
From Struggles to Growth
In the early days, I focused on creating handmade baby gifts, but soon, I realized I wanted to offer more. As I continued to grow, I expanded QUABOXES to include thoughtful gift boxes for moms and other special occasions. I remember one particular holiday season when sleepless nights and long hours became the norm. But despite the exhaustion, my commitment never wavered. It was during those late nights that I truly understood the power of hard work and dedication.
The turning point came when I decided to move from Etsy to my own e-commerce website. QUABOXES went from being a side hustle to a full-fledged business, opening doors to a larger audience and allowing me to connect with people in new and meaningful ways.

Today, I’m proud to work full-time in my new workshop, continuing to build on the vision I started in my garage. I’m incredibly grateful for the support from all the amazing customers and partners I’ve met along the way.
